Drawing from her training in Carnatic (traditional music from South India) and Western Classical Violin as well as Carnatic Vocal music, Anjana explores the world of music as a way to touch the soul through melody and emotion. She has received training from the late Sri Anoor Ramakrishna of Bangalore, India, Sri Vittal Ramamurthy of Chennai, India, and now studies under Smt Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi of Chennai, India, daughter of the legendary late violinist Sri Lalgudi G. Jayaraman.

Anjana is very active in the Indo-Canadian musical scene. She enjoys imparting her art by conducting violin lessons for local youth and adults. She will be accompanied by two of her senior students, Shanmukh Iyer and Rushmi Perinpanathan.
